Shrimp and Broccoli with Red Chili Sauce
Wok food is always quick and easy, but the secret to really good wok food is a good sauce. For this one I tried making a red chili sauce from scratch. I don't remember exactly what was in it but most likely a puree of rice vinegar, sherry, soy sauce, dried spicy chiles, sugar, and salt. I sauteed the shrimp and onions and then added the sauce and blanched broccoli. This is easy to make in 15 minutes. It was good but I am still looking for the secret sauce ingredient.
